Forbes

“Now that we're based in Vietnam, social media has played a large role in making friends. Just this week, I'm meeting a new friend I connected with on Instagram for a lantern-making class because she's in my town.”

“Disagree that this is nothing special, it’s actually incredibly special. This place is definitely a hidden gem, especially if you love a Wes Anderson type vibe. The trail to get to the lighthouse shows off beautiful landscapes against the crashing waves of the sea.”

Meet the Founder

Rachel Howze is a writer and designer who believes travel is something you live, not just plan.

After building a career in cybersecurity, she recognized a shift in travel culture: a growing demand for experiences that are more accessible, intentional, and meaningful.

That vision led her to leave corporate America and create Travwell, a brand devoted to tools and spaces that make travel authentic and memorable, from beautifully crafted guidebooks to curated private stays.

Now based in Hoi An, Vietnam, with chapters of her life in the U.S and England, Rachel embodies a global perspective. Her approach blends attention to detail with the wonder of spontaneity. She finds purpose in helping travelers develop the confidence to see the world differently...and to travel well, not superficially.
