A conscious and restorative week of pickleball and so much more in the heart of Hoi An, Vietnam
This thoughtfully curated and intimate retreat is designed for eight intermediate players (3.0–4.0) who want to improve their game, enjoy meaningful travel, and return home feeling lighter and more grounded. Over 7 nights and 8 days in Hoi An, the experience unfolds in a small-group format designed for depth, not scale.
It follows a thoughtfully designed flow of play, recovery, and cultural immersion, blending intentional pickleball coaching, simple mindset tools, and light reflection so what you experience actually sticks. Rather than rushing from session to session, you’ll move at a pace that offers clarity, not more exhaustion.
All of it takes place within the everyday cultural rhythms of Hoi An, Vietnam, one of Vietnam’s most picturesque, culturally preserved, and quietly revitalizing towns. Nothing feels overly programmed. The result is a steadier game, a clearer mind, and a rare opportunity to reconnect.
It’s a rhythm you can take home with you.
Why Hoi An, Vietnam?
Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage city of rare beauty, shaped by a blue-zone sensibility:
- Slower pace
- Longer horizons
- A way of living that favors presence and connection over pressure and competition
Here, pickleball can become more than a game. It becomes a window into how you think, how you move, and the pace you keep.
You’ll only scratch the surface of what Hoi An has to offer. But you’ll leave with a clearer rhythm, and a few pieces of it you can carry home.
A different kind of pickleball experience
Most pickleball retreats focus on volume. More drills. More play. More activities.
We focus on how experiences connect.
Each activity reinforces another. Nothing is stacked back-to-back or competes for your energy. Each element has a purpose, and each moment builds on the last.

Not your typical day
Morning · Play with Intention
Mornings begin on the court with focused pickleball sessions:
- Coaching and match play emphasize decision-making, steadiness, and simple resets rather than volume or intensity.
- Gentle warm-ups and mindset cues help you arrive fully present.
On select days, the morning may open differently:
- A quiet immersion into local life. A slow walk through a market.
- A glimpse of Hoi An as it wakes, before it performs.
Midday · Restore and Settle
After effort comes recovery. Midday is intentionally unhurried:
- Offering space for rest, bodywork, or simply doing nothing at all.
- Massage and physiotherapy-informed recovery are woven into the week to help the body reset and the nervous system settle.
This is where learning consolidates. Where slowing down supports better performance later, on and off the court.
Afternoon · Explore and Reflect
Afternoons open into lighter match play or cultural experiences rooted in everyday life:
- Hands-on food, craft, tea, or quiet exploration approached with curiosity rather than urgency.
Short moments of reflection may be offered:
- A prompt. A conversation. A chance to notice what you’re learning about your game, your pace, or your reactions.
Evening · Connect and Unwind
Evenings are kept intentionally simple:
- Shared meals in beautiful local spaces.
- Thoughtful conversation.
- Time to unwind without an agenda.
Some nights bring everyone together. Others leave space for rest, connection, or early sleep.
The day closes gently, making room for what comes next.
The Rhythm That Holds It All
Play, recovery, culture, and rest aren’t treated as separate experiences. They’re designed to reinforce each other.
Effort followed by restoration. Engagement balanced with ease.
The details may shift. The rhythm stays steady.

A more intentional approach
-
Pickleball as a Practice
The court becomes a place to work on more than shots. You’ll practice decision-making, steadiness under pressure, and simple resets you can carry into everyday life.
-
Recovery With Purpose
Wellness here isn’t a reward for hard work. It’s part of the method. Massage, physiotherapy-informed bodywork, and rest are woven into the week to support learning, nervous system balance, and long-term vitality.
-
Culture That’s Lived, Not Performed
Culture isn’t treated as entertainment or a checklist. You’ll experience Hoi An through everyday rhythms. How people eat, make things, gather, and move through the world. Slowly. Relationally. With attention.
-
Reflection, Lightly Held
We don’t do heavy workshops. Instead, we weave in short moments of reflection every day or two. Just enough to notice what’s changing. Your game. Your pace. Your reactions. This is what turns a great trip into something that actually sticks.
-
Connection, By Design
With just eight participants, we create space for real connection. An opening moment to arrive together. A closing moment to reflect and carry things home. Everything in between unfolds naturally.
